Akshat jha

Akshat is a NYC based Actor working in theatre, film and television. He completed his acting training, and graduated from The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.

 

He got his Bachelors degree in filmmaking, and is a trained dancer from Shiamak Davar International India Pvt. Ltd. He also works as a model, and walked for reputed designers such as Miguel Wilson and Ryan Singleton at New York Fashion Week 2023-24.

He is playing the lead in the Emmy nominated director, Jennifer Fox's new play "An Ordinary Day", and the upcoming TV series "Dharm". He will soon be seen in the popular sandwich chain- Subway’s new commercial! He is also the leading face of NBC's new commercial for "Thrill Ride".

His previous work includes lead roles in the off-broadway musicals "Ramaavan" and "Holiday Beat", and guest star role in TV series "Are We Famous Yet?". He recently featured as the lead actor and dancer in the music video of Arcane Motif's “Kahaniyaan”. Akshat made his NY stage debut with "Constellations of Everything Before Us", a sold-out devised show for Asian Spotlight 2023, held at the Marilyn Monroe Theatre.

 

He was honored by the Chief Minster of his state in India on International Women's Day, for creating awareness on the gender biased sex selection in his country with his short film “Paakhand” (hindi for hypocrisy).
